Obituary

Salem: Albert J. “Pampy” Gallant passed away on Friday, December 16, 2011 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Constance (Peach) Gallant.

He was born in Salem to John and Denise Gallant. Al and Connie were happily married to 56 years. He was known to all as Pampy, a name given to him by his beloved grandchildren. During the Korean Conflict, he served with the U.S. Army.

Pampy was an avid bowler in his younger years. He loved dancing, telling jokes, feeding ducks, scratch tickets, working on his famous tan, bragging about his grandchildren who were the pride of his life, and spending his days with his loving wife Connie.

Pampy was a kind and generous man, who volunteered at Salem Hospital in his later years visiting the elderly. He loved his friends at Dunkin Donuts in Swampscott, wher he faithfully went in the early morning for over 30 years. Pampy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife Connie, he is survived by his daughter Donna and her husband Bill Poulos, his Doreen and her husband Doug Nelson, his grandchildren, Ali Poulos, Katie (Poulos) Langan, Jessie (Poulos) Johnson, Craig and Matt Nelson, His sister Angelina Madden and ‘special niece’ Pat Brown.
