Doris L. "Dotty" Harding

TEWKSBURY: Doris L. "Dotty" (Cabot) Harding, age 88, a long-time resident of Tewksbury, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Frasier Meadows Health Care Center in Boulder, Colorado.
Dotty was born in Somerville on March 11, 1923, to Grace E. (Noyes) and Joseph S. Cabot.
Raised in Somerville, she graduated from Somerville High School in 1941.
She married her childhood sweetheart, the late Earle Russell Harding, on June 29, 1946.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for over 30 years as a Clerk for the Town of Tewksbury in the Treasurer's and the Tax Collector's offices.
Dotty's adventurous spirit and love of travel took her on numerous journeys, from the Colorado mountains to the pyramids of Egypt and places in between.
She will be remembered lovingly for her devotion to her family.
Her grandchildren brought her special joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara G. "Beege" Harding and her husband Doug Brandmier of Longmont, CO; and son, Robert W. Harding and his wife Teresa of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Keith E. and Derek R. Harding both of Tewksbury.
Dotty was also the sister of the late Donald E. Cabot and grandmother of the late Gregory P. Harding.
Calling hours will be Monday, Dec. 19, from 5-7 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec., 20, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Family Hospice Foundation, 1790 30th Street, # 306, Boulder, CO 80301 or to your local hospice organization.
