DADA Margaret E. (Cotter) a resident of Wellesley Hills for 48 years, formerly of Brewster, MA., Dec. 15, 2011. Age 93. Beloved wife of the late Theodore A. Dada for 49 years. Sister of Katherine T. Mullen of Newton, and the late Cornelius A. Cotter, John F. Cotter, and Richard P. Cotter.
She is also survived by her three nieces Katherine E. Mullen J.D., of Queens, NY, Mary P. Mullen M.D., of Wellesley, and Elizabeth A. Mullen M.D. of Needham, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Born in Newton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. Cotter and Ellen A. (Sullivan) Cotter. She graduated from Newton High School and Framingham State Teachers College. She received a masters degree from Boston University. Mrs. Dada was an elementary school teacher in Brookline for many years. After retirement she worked as a bookkeeper at Captain Marden’s Seafood in Wellesley and enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod at her home in Brewster. She was a forty three year member of the Wellesley Country Club where she was an accomplished tennis player. She was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellesley Hills.
Mrs. Dada’s wonderful spirit, love of life, genuine interest in people, devotion to family and Church will be sorely missed.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (RT. 16) WELLESLEY Monday at 10AM. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 11AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-6PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
