Mrs. Mary M. (Pappalardo) DeConto, age 96, died Friday December 16, 2011, in Winchester, after a brief illness. Born in Woburn, Mary has been a resident of Medford for the last 70 years. She was the devoted daughter of the late Antonette (Vericella) Pappalardo & Paul Pappalardo.
Mary was raised in Woburn and graduated from St. Charles School. She worked as a custom drapery designer for many years before her retirement. She had an interest in art and loved to travel. But most of all she was especially proud of her loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary was the wife of the late Joseph T. DeConto. Devoted mother of Ricar F. DeConto and his wife Denise of Burlington. Loving grandmother of Ricar F. DeConto Jr. and his wife Nicole of Pelham, NH, and Lisa M. DeRosa and her husband Chris of Burlington. Loving great grandmother of Brianna, Justin, Jason, Brandon and Ryan. Sister of Margaret Shields of Woburn, the late Joseph Pappalardo and Frank Paul Pappalardo. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday December 19th at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
