Obituary

DANVERS: Marjory A. (White) Palmer, 89, died Tuesday December 13, 2011 in the Beverly Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dean M. Palmer, who died in September of 2001. Formerly of Beverly, they made their home in Rockport for many years.
Born in Beverly on May 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Marjorie (Coose) White.
Marjory was a graduate of the Essex Agricultural School class of 1939. She was employed at Western Electric for fifteen years. She sang with the Sweet Adelines choral group for many years and will be remembered by her family and friends for her love of impromptu song fests in two-part harmony.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Viola White of Beverly; two sisters, Audrey Carney of County Dublin, Ireland and Gail Busl of Manchester, VT; stepdaughter, Maureen Archer and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, David “Pete” and Robert “Bud” White and two sisters, Estelle Wills and Josephine Re.
Her committal service will be held privately by the family. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester.
