Starr E. Hall Jr. passed away on December 15, 2011. He was 80 years old.
Born in Medford, Starr was a lifelong resident of Malden. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Post 69.
Starr was the devoted husband of 51 years to Helen (Chapman) Hall. He was the son of the late Starr E. and Blanche J. (Forsythe) Hall. Starr was the beloved father of John Hall and his wife Kathleen of Malden, Lori Dettorre and her husband Gus of Wakefield, Deborah White and her husband Doug of Andover and Eric Hall and his wife Barbara of Malden. He was the dear brother of Marjorie Santo, Margaret Ballard and the late Charles Hall. Starr was the cherished grandfather of Michael, Alyssa, Derek, Nicholas, Jonathan, Julia, Christopher and Jake and the loving uncle of Sandra Carreiro and many other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday, December 19th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday, December 18th from 3-7 p.m. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
