Florence Elizabeth (Becker) Bragner, (81 years), of Natick, Massachusetts died on Tuesday December 13, 2011. She was a resident at St. Patrick's Manor Nursing home since January 2004 on Central Street in Framingham. She was previously married to Carl F. Bragner for 18 years.
Born on October 19, 1930 in Watertown, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Herman and Anna G. (Leonard) Becker and was a 1948 graduate of Newton High School. Florence was an executive secretary for Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, Mass and GTE Sylvania in Needham, Ma. She previously worked in admissions at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick. She worked tirelessly during most of her career in two jobs.
She was the devoted and loving mother of Allison Leslie McClements, wife of John, Natick, Ma; Alan Scott Bragner, of Birdsboro Pa., and Robert Carl Bragner, husband of Susan and father of grandchild Ashley Elizabeth Bragner, Birdsboro, Pa. She was predeceased by her son Glenn Nelson Bragner, her sisters Ann Palmeira, Ruth Bryant and brother Frank Becker. In addition she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Florence is remembered by her family for her big heart, laughter and determination. She liked to write poetry and had a creative sense of humor. She coauthored songs with her husband during the 1950's and 1960's. Florence really loved the ocean and found enjoyment in discovering where a new road would lead to while driving.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home of Natick. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16 at 9:30am in the Chapel at St. Patrick's Manor. Burial services will be private and will be held at the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Natick, Mass.
