
Worcester – Sylvie M. (Babineau) Gallant, 57, of Worcester, died on Monday, December 12th in the Overlook Masonic Home while surrounded by her loving family.
Sylvie was married to her husband of 38 years, Jean-Guy Gallant and leaves behind a son Christopher G. Gallant and his wife Cynthia of Worcester; a daughter Amy T. Millette and her husband Mark of Shrewsbury; her mother Suzanne (Ouellette) Babineau of New Brunswick, Canada; a brother Luke Babineau of St. Ignace, New Brunswick, Canada and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Gallant was born in Saint Ignace, New Brunswick, Canada daughter of the late Irenee Babineau.
She graduated from Quinsigamond Community College and worked as a phlebotomist at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester for over 15 years at both the University Campus and Memorial Campus.
Friends and family are invited to the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester on Thursday, December 15th from 5 to 8 PM to celebrate Sylvie’s life. A funeral service for the family and close friends of Sylvie will be held on Friday, December 16th at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester
