Mrs. Civita M. Simeone, “Tina” age 84 of Winchester, formerly of East Cambridge died Friday in the Golden Living Center Lexington. She is the wife of the late Michael J. Simeone.
Born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Gaetano and Anna (Colaruotolo) Amendola, she was raised there and attended local schools. She was a great cook and even better at baking. She had the gift of a green thumb and enjoyed working in the garden. Nothing made her happier than seeing her children and grandchildren. She is a long time member of the Cosmas and Damiano Society of East Cambridge.
In earlier years she worked as a seamstress for Frederick’s of Boston, a fine garment manufacturer.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Rallo and her husband Frank of Winchester, two sons: Michael Simeone and his wife Betty of Waltham, John Simeone and his wife Adrianne of Burlington. She is the grandmother of Joseph & Michael Rallo, Melissa, Michelle, Peter, Angela and Cameron Simeone. Sister of Regina DeVito and her husband Joseph of Cambridge.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington Street, Winchester, Saturday 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday from 3 until 8 PM. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Tina’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, Attention: Development Department, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
