John E. Bowman, 69, of Westport died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center in Somerset after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Westport, he was son of Edith M. (Stowell) Bowman of Westport and the late John T. Bowman. Mr. Bowman was an auto mechanic for J&J Auto, Westport and Wilfred’s Garage, Westport.
Including his mother, survivors include a daughter: Traci L. Olson and her husband Matthew of Westport; a sister: Betty Ann Michaels and her husband Daniel of Westport; a granddaughter: Jennifer; 2 nieces: Sarah daLuz and Melissa Michaels; a nephew: Joseph Michaels; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was brother of the late Margaret S.A. Bowman.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
