Frederick J. Geyer, 63, of Pawcatuck, CT died Sunday, December 11th 2011 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with family at his bedside.
He was born November 27, 1948 in New London to Oscar and Marion Holt Geyer. He grew up in Mystic, volunteered for the Mystic Fire and Ambulance & Ambulance Department, and served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Geyer held the position of Vice President of the American Velvet Company in Stonington for 20 years during a career that spanned 43 years at that company.
Frederick Geyer is survived by his wife, Janette Geyer, his children Kimberly Beebe and her husband Keith Beebe of Pawcatuck, Jason Geyer and his wife Heather Geyer of Livermore CA and Kathryn Thomaselli and her husband Josh Thomaselli of Carson City, Nevada. He leaves behind his grandchildren Jack Beebe, Ryder Thomaselli, Jason Geyer and Courtney Wise; his siblings Beverly Kavanagh of Mystic, Oscar Geyer of Taftville, and Barbara Jordan of Groton, and their children; and his stepchildren Tracy Vera of California, Kelly Clachrie of Pawcatuck, and Leslie Messerlie of California.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 6-8pm. A Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11am. Burial with presentation of military honors will be at Elm Grove Cemetery.
