Obituary

WORCESTER-Janet L. (Sullivan) Logan, 71, of Worcester and South Harwich died Monday, March 15th in the Hospice Residence after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Her husband John J. Logan, Jr., died in 1990. She leaves her daughter Julie Ann wife of Robert Jacobson of Paxton, 2 sisters Marjorie wife of Donald Hampton of East Dennis and Naples, FL and Marcia wife of Gerard Kiley of Belmont, 2 grandchildren Alyssa and Matthew Jacobson of Paxton, nephews and nieces.

She was born in Belmont the daughter of Clinton and Teresa (Smith) Sullivan. Mrs. Logan was a graduate of Belmont High School, Tufts University and earned her Masters Degree at Worcester State College. She had been a teacher and head teacher for the Head Start Program in Worcester for 25 years and had last worked with the program at the First Baptist Church on Park Avenue. Mrs. Logan was a former member of Immaculate Conception Parish and it’s Woman’s Guild. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed her time spent on Cape Cod, her family and friends and traveling.

The funeral is Thursday, March 18th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Wednesday, March 17th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
