Maurice E. Scanlon Sr. 65, of Sixth Ave. died Friday at Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Ellen M. (Wiberg) Scanlon. Born in Franklin, MA he was a son of the late William and Marie (Morse) Scanlon. Mr. Scanlon was a security guard for Tech Industries for many years. He was a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by two sons Maurice Scanlon Jr. of Burrillville, and Matthew Scanlon of Woonsocket, three daughters, Laurie Scanlon, Christine Garcia, and Jennifer Scanlon all of Woonsocket, eight sisters, Carol Tyler of Milford, Suzanne Power of Woonsocket, Cindy-Lou Fitzgerald of Smithfield, Annette Fitzgerald of Manville, Michelle Roberts of Idaho, Sheryl Kephart, Vicki Plante, and Renee Bordes all of Nevada, and fourteen grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late William Scanlon.
