Lillie Mae Brady, 96, of Tifton died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Sam Rogers will officiate with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals prior to the service.
Miss Brady was born on December 13, 1914 in Tift County to Harold Brady and Dola Mae Heath Brady, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Davis and Agnes Irene Sutton. She was a resident of Maple Court Assisted Living for the past five years.
Miss Brady retired from the Entomology Department at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station. She was a proud member of the Pilot Club of Tifton. Lillie Mae was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Tifton. She had lived in Tifton her entire life.
Survivors include nephews, Murris E. Sutton Jr. of Atlanta, Hal Sutton of Tifton, Billy Davis of Albany and Ronnie Davis of Atlanta; nieces, Peggy Butler of Lake Park, Lavaye Butler of Social Circle and Lanelle Long of Hoschton; and many grand-nephews and nieces. All of Lillie Mae’s friends were a treasure to her.
