UPTON: Beverly J. (Holmes) Bradford, 71, died peacefully on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at the UMass Medical Center in Worcester following a period of declining health.
She was born in Natick on August 25, 1940 the daughter of the late Robert E. Holmes and Blanche L. (Greenwood) Holmes.
Beverly was the devoted mother of David T. Bradford, Jr. of Westborough; Robert E. Bradford of Clinton and the late Ronn R. Bradford who died in April 2006. She was the loving sister of Terry A. Medina and her husband John C. Medina of Grafton and the late Robert E. Holmes. Cherished grandmother of Daniel W. and Kyle T. Bradford of Marlborough and Shane A. and Jenna R. Bradford of Gardner. She was the wife of the late David T. Bradford who died in August 1976.
Beverly had been a resident of Cochituate for over 45 years and resided in Grafton for over 10 years and for the past five years in Upton. She graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1958 and for over 20 years prior to retiring was a Customer Service Representative in the Operation Support Department at Staples Corp. She was the Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge and the Odd Fellows of Wayland. Beverly enjoyed crocheting and crafts of all types as well as reading and was an accomplished amateur photographer. She also was an excellent baker and her specialty was wedding cakes. She loved to travel to New Hampshire, on cruises and her trips to England and Ireland. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister to her family and will be greatly missed.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Philip Parish, 12 West Street, Grafton at 10:00 am on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
Interment will follow in the Bradford family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
