Holden—Robert H. Spring, 83, of Holden, died Monday, March 15, 2004, at St. Vincent’s Hospital. His wife Mary K. (Kastberg) Spring, died in 1970. He leaves 2 sons, Gerald R. Spring of Hubbardston and Arnold K. Spring of Wales, MA; a daughter, Kirstine L. Spring of Holden, 6 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Meriden High School (Meriden, Conn.) and attended the School of Industrial Management at WPI. He was a WWII Army Air Force veteran. He was a Time-study Engineer for the Henry L. Hanson Co., retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Train Collectors Association, enjoyed browsing at flea markets, and was an avid reader.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester is directing arrangements.
