VIRGIL “JACK” BISHOP, JR., 79, passed away on December 10, 2011.
He was a retired employee of Equifax Credit Bureau, a former Jefferson County Police Officer, a member of South Minister Baptist Church, a Mason, and a Navy and Marine veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Bishop, son Donald Bishop, and grandsons, Joshua and Aaron.
Survivors include his children, Diana Graham (Kenny), Gregory Bishop (Elaine), Michael Bishop (Dorothy), Tina Bowling (Michael), Jacqueline Cooper, and Judy Jaggers (Lester); 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; his brother, James Bishop; and sisters, Virginia Enteman, Mary Joe Enteman, Shirley Allen, and Doris Whitehouse.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Ky.
Visitation will be from 1 – 8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday.
