Dorothy F. (Degnin) Moir, 91, of Franklin died December 8 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin. She was the wife of the late Lawrence P. Moir.
Born in Boston, May 22, 1920, the daughter of the late William and Frances (Hogan) Degnin, Mrs. Moir was raised in Roslindale and had lived in Franklin for over 55 years.
Mrs. Moir had been a medical secretary for Dr. Lozano in Franklin and been a teacher’s aide at both the Oak Street and Kennedy Schools in Franklin.
Mrs. Moir enjoyed line dancing and was an active member of the Franklin Senior Center.
She is survived by her children, William G. Moir and his wife Christina of Palmyra, VA, Nancy J. Daley and her husband Stephen of Franklin and John L. Moir and his wife Susan E. of Franklin.
She was the mother of the late Lorraine Breault.
She was the sister of the late Arthur Degnin and Margaret Shepherd.
She was also the grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 5.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 12 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 5-8 p.m.
