Helen Mary (Klotz) Berg, 79, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, December 6th at Orchard Grove Specialty Care in Uncasville.
She was born November 8, 1932 in New London, the daughter of Engelbert Klotz and Helene Van De Sand Klotz.
She graduated from Stonington High School in 1950.
She was employed at Mystic Seaport’s Museum Stores before retiring.
She attended Groton Bible Chapel for many years.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George A. Berg Jr.; her sons, Richard Berg of Pawcatuck and Ronald Berg of Niantic; her daughter, Marlene Sullivan of Norwich; her brother, Henrich Klotz of Mystic; and 6 grandchildren, Erica, Alyssa, Kari, David, Dale and Kyle. She was predeceased by two brothers, Otto Kotz and Frederick Klotz.
Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday from 12noon until 1pm, followed by burial at Elm Grove Cemetery. A Memorial reception will be held at Groton Bible Chapel, Toll Gate Road, Groton at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Ross Adult Day Center of Norwich, or Orchard Grove Specialty Care of Uncasville.
