WEBSTER – Arthur P. Guillette, age 100, of 12 Plasse Court, died Sunday, March 14, at Webster Commons Lanessa. His wife of 44 years, Aurore M. (Forand) Guillette, died in 1970.
He leaves 2 grandchildren, Robert J. Guillette of Woodstock, CT, and Michele Guillette of Winchendon, and 3 great grandchildren, Lauren M. Guillette, Robert A. Guillette and Joseph K. Davini. He was predeceased by a son, Emile A. Guillette.
He was born and raised in Webster, son of Francois and Emma (Fournier) Guillette. He attended a local vocational school.
Mr. Guillette was employed as a foreman at the Albany Felt Co. in Albany, NY, until his retirement in August, 1968. Previously he worked in several woolen mills in Webster until 1943, at which time he moved to Albany. He moved back to Webster in 1970. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 17, from the Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Wednesday, March 17, in the funeral home.
