Rickey G. Slayton,54, of Clarksville, died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his residence.
He was born on February 28, 1957 in Sherman, TX to James E. Slayton and Peggy Harris Slayton, both of Clarksville, TN.
Funeral services to be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2 p.m., at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Dr. Larry Robertson and Bro. Verlon Moore officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Rickey was an Army Veteran. He was also a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. Everyone that knew Rickey, knew of his love and kindness that he had for everyone, and how he was always there in time of need to help someone.
He is survived by his parents, James and Peggy Slayton, both of Clarksville, TN; a son, Jeremey Slayton of Clarksville, TN; a brother, Randy (Vicky) Slayton of Cunningham, TN; a sister, Kimberly (Bobby) Conner of Cunningham, TN and three nieces, Kasie Cole, Brittnye Cilk and Kayla Slayton.
Pallbearers will be Jeremey Slayton, Randy Slayton, Bobby Conner, Donald Hollis, Smitty Linton and Blaine Thompson.
