Sally A. Danubio, 63, of Pembroke, died suddenly on December 5, 2011 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was born on October 11th in Houlton, Maine, the daughter of Cyril and Evelyn Quint.
Sally, voted most athletic in her high school class, graduated Valedictorian of Hodgdon High School, class of 1966, and graduated from the University of Maine, Presque Isle with a BS in English.
She spent much of her life as an educator and taught at Plymouth Rock Christian School, Calvary Baptist Christian School and Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.
Sally's passions were reading her Bible, prayer journaling, compiling scrapbooks of pictures and thoughts of encouragement, and anything related to the accomplishments of her kids.
Sally is survived by her husband Joseph Danubio, Jr., of Pembroke and her three children Jennifer Boel and her husband Chris, of Weymouth, Michael Danubio and his wife Michelle, of Raynham and son Joseph Danubio III of Pembroke; two grandchildren, Liana and Henry; brothers Alan Quint, Pedro Quint and his wife Annette, Gehrig Quint, Kurt Quint and his wife Claudia and Brent Quint, all of Maine; sisters Clare Quint of Florida, Sharol Putnam and her husband Lanny, Melinda Horan and her husband Rob, all of Maine.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters Sharon Quint and Judy Hutchinson, both of Maine. She had several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and one great-great niece.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday December 8th from 4-8 pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rt 58 at the rotary), Whitman, MA. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday December 9th at the Calvary Baptist Church, 429 Monponsett St, Hanson, MA 02341, with Pastor Tim Shafer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Pembroke. Donations may be made in Sally's memory to Calvary Baptist Church Deacon’s Fund, 429 Monponsett St. Hanson, MA 02341.
