Jessie Mae Stansel Golding, 86, of Ty Ty died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Dean McKinney will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Jessie’s grandsons, Robert Newton, B. J. Umberhandt, Ryan Smith, James Houze, Eric Golding and Timothy Childs, will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Golding was born on August 26, 1925 in Live Oak, Florida and was the daughter of Millard Vance Stansel and Vader Mobley Stansel, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Carl Golding, Sr.; one daughter, Patricia Smith; and one brother, Frank Stansel. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed life to the fullest, family time and watching Rev. Charles Stanley. She had lived in Omega for 32 years.
Mrs. Golding is surived by one son, Maurice C. Golding, Jr. of Ty Ty; four daughters, Deborah Umberhandt of Baldwin, Judith Childs of LaGrange, Gail Marie Turner of Tifton and Janice Edmondson of Ty Ty; two sisters Joyce Zampino and Annabelle Jones, both of Pensacola, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one nephew; and five nieces.
