Elizabeth S. (Scott) Greco-Johnson, 82, of Santa Barbara, CA died December 2, 2011 at Maravilla Assisted Living after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert Johnson.
Born in Caledonia, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Maurice and Leta (Freeman) Scott, she lived in Wollaston, Walpole and Fairhaven before moving to Santa Barbara, CA 30 years ago.
Mrs. Johnson was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse for several years.
She enjoyed traveling, painting, music and playing the piano. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Elks Club and the Our Gang travel group while living in Santa Barbara.
Survivors include 4 sons, Michael Greco and his wife Nancy of Marion, Peter Greco of Mattapoisett, Paul Greco of Cape Elizabeth, ME and Frank Greco and his wife Susie of Pepperell, MA; 3 brothers, Gerald Scott of New Brunswick, Canada, Jack Scott of Boonton, NJ and Patrick Scott of Florida; a sister, Virginia Hatchette of Toronto, Canada; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Heather, Melissa, Danielle, Laura, Elaina, Nina, Gracie and Kyra; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Catherine Greco and the grandmother of the late Jason McCarthy.
She was the sister of the late Irene Marney, Edith Scott, Rita Scott, Leta Scott, Maurice "Junior" Scott, Joseph Scott and Theodore "Teddy" Scott.
Visiting hours Thursday, December 15th from 4-7 PM followed by her Funeral Service at 7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Burial in Walpole on Friday will be private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Santa Barbara 222 E Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
