Calvin N. Highfield, 86, of Salem and Florida died Wed., November 30th at his home in Florida.
Calvin was born in Kentucky and entered the Army to serve as a paratrooper in WW II and the Korean War. He made 84 jumps and was awarded a Purple Heart. He worked as an auto mechanic at L & M Springs in Lowell. Calvin then worked for the Town of Salem as a heavy equipment operator.

Daughters: Donna Carr and husband Daniel of Virginia
Cindi Beattie and husband Stephen of Salem
Pamela Bateman and husband Tim of Ohio
Sister: Margaret and Leroy Palmer of Ohio
Grandsons: Shawn, Craig, Kyle, Corey, Troy and Jeff
Great Granddaughters Maeve and Casey
Calling hours will be Fri., Dec. 9th from 3-6PM. The Memorial Services will follow at 6PM. Arrangements are by the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
