FRANKLIN- Janice M. (Covell) Barlow 48, of Franklin, died Wednesday, November 30th, at Milford Regional Medical Center shortly after her arrival. She was the beloved fiancé of John J. Pucillo.
Born July 29, 1963 in Norwood, daughter of Anne M. (Yadisernia) Covell and the late John W. Covell. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
She attended Franklin Public Schools and was a graduate of Framingham Union School of Nursing where she received a Bachelor’s degree in 1986. For many years she worked as a Registered Nurse at several area nursing homes. For the past ten years, she was working at Medway Country Manor and was currently the Unit Manager.
She treasured spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and was an avid Red Sox fan. Janice was a longtime volunteer at the St. Rocco’s Festival and the Franklin 4th of July Celebration. She will be remembered as a caregiver to all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and fiancé, she is survived by a son, Michael S. Barlow of Franklin, Caitlin R. Barlow of Franklin, a brother, David J. Covell and his wife Joanne of Plainville, two sisters, Cathleen M. Bertone and her husband Marc of Franklin and Christine A. Breton and her husband Daniel of West Stockbridge. She is the former wife of David M. Barlow of Franklin.
Also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Elizabeth and Nicholas Bertone, Laura, Julie, and James Covell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday, December 6th, at 9:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, (33 Cottage Street, Franklin) (www.oterifuneralhome.com) with a funeral mass in St. Mary's Church. ( 1 Church Square, Franklin) at 10 AM.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
