Barbara Draper Hutchinson, 90, of Franklin died November 28 in the Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey.
Born in Franklin, August 8, 1921, the daughter of the late James and Ethel (Snodgrass) Hutchinson, Miss Hutchinson was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Barbara was a 1939 graduate of Franklin High School and a 1942 graduate of Sturdy Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
She had been a Registered Nurse Rhode Island Hospital from 1943 - 1980 when she retired.
Barbara had been an active member of the Franklin Federated Church and was a member of the Sunbeams.
She enjoyed doing crafts especially knitting.
She was the sister of the late Russell H. Johnston, Jr.; she is survived by her niece Cynthia J. Johnston of Verona, NJ and her nephew Russell H. Johnston III of Milwaukee, WI. She was the aunt of the late Lindsay B. Sparkes.
She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews, 2 great great nieces and a great great nephew.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3 in the Franklin Federated Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Union Street Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131 Main St. in Franklin.
