Cynthia A. Garriepy, 71, of Kane Road, Smithfield, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of Robert T. Garriepy, Sr. They had been married for 55 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Angelina M. (Larocque) DesCoteaux. She had lived in Smithfield for 49 years. She was a bookkeeper for the former RTG Machine and Tool, Inc. in Smithfield for 17 years before retiring.
Besides her husband she is survived by her three daughters: Darlene Czarcinski and her husband, Michael of Los Angeles, CA, Kimberly LeBeau and her husband, Brian of Warwick, Susan Nixon and her husband, Alan of Fuquay Varina, NC, a son, Robert T. Garriepy, II of Smithfield, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren, two sisters: Fabiola Porter of Surprise, Arizona and Jacqueline Lupo of Providence and two brothers: Wendell DesCoteaux of Wakefield, Massachusettes and Arthur DesCoteaux of Woonsocket.
Her funeral is private.
