Cynthia Patch Marks, age 99 of Clarksville, died on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Uffelman Estates Retirement Home.
She was born on January 1, 1912 in Clarksville, TN to the late Benjamin A. Patch and Mamie Green Patch. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Marks; three brothers, William G. Patch, Asahel H. Patch and Benjamin A. Patch, and one grandson, John L. Marks.
Services to be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 1 p.m., at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with the Rev. John David Laida and Rev. David Handley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
She was a homemaker. She was also a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was the oldest living member of the church.
She is survived by three sons, George M. Marks, Albert P. Marks, both of Clarksville, and Arthur H. Marks, Jr. of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Ben P. Marks, Ruth M. Hoffman, Arthur H. Marks III, Jill Groves and Joy Shepard, and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Powers, Bill Lyle, Lane Lyle, Arthur H. Marks III, Ben P. Marks, Ben Sory Kimbrough, Rudy Batts, Rob Meadows and Albert S. Marks IV.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Lillian Cheatham, Mary Birdwell, and all other caregivers that assisted in the care of our mother.
