Carol Ann (Greer) Moorehouse, 73, of Standish, Maine and formerly of Franklin died November 26 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. She was the wife of the late Arthur R. Moorehouse who died in 1995.
Born in Somerville, December 24, 1937, the daughter of the late Thomas and Winifred (Fallon) Greer, Mrs. Moorehouse was raised in Somerville and had lived in Franklin for 40 years before moving Maine 11 years ago.
Mrs. Moorehouse and her husband had a vacation home on Sebago Lake in Maine for over fifty years and had spent her vacations there with her family and later made it her permanent home where the family could come and enjoy the area as they had for so many years.
She is survived by her children, Robert E. Moorehouse and his wife Maria of Stow, Mass., Joseph T. Moorehouse of Plainville, Arthur J. Moorehouse and his wife Diana DelMontier of Elkton, Virginia, John P. Moorehouse and his wife Charlene Walker of Grafton and Linda A. Hurley of Aliso Viejo, California.
She is also survived by her brother Thomas Geer of Marblehead and her granddaughter Lorraine M. Moorehouse of Frederick, Maryland.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
