Obituary

Frances Marie Lowney, a resident of Medford for more than 39 years, died at her home on Saturday, November 26, 2011. She was 81 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on July 13, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late John P. and Katherine A. (Dwyer) Lowney. Frances worked as a bookkeeper for the Waltham State Hospital for many years. She loved to go bowling in her younger years and also loved to socialize with many people. She was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medford and a member of the Woman's Sodality.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving sister; Denise J. Lowney of Medford, cherished niece and nephews; Regina M. and her husband Ernie A. Needham of Medford, David E. Schein and his wife Annemarie Foley of Pelham, MA and Michael L. and his wife Patricia A. Schein of Melrose, dear great-niece and great nephews; Stephen, John, Danny and Craig Needham and Quinn, Emil, and Desmond Schein, Patrick, William, Michael and Kathleen Schein.
Her funeral was from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 3 to 8 PM. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
