Obituary

WORCESTER - Francis J. Casey, 73, of 24 Davenport St. died Saturday, Feb. 16 at home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 39 years Suzanne L. (Lamarine) Casey of Worcester; three sons David A. Casey of Williamstown, MA, Francis J. Casey Jr. of Greene, RI, and John G. Casey of Worcester; two daughters Nadine C. Casey and Colleen T. Casey both of Worcester; 9 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Carmen Trahan and a sister Anne Casey of Worcester . Mr. Casey was born in Boston son of Joseph A. and Agnes M. (Arseneault) Casey.

Mr. Casey worked for Commonwealth Press Co. for over 30 years, was on the Board of Director for the company as well as a Production Manager, retiring in 1989.

He graduated from Holy Name High School and Rochester Institute of Tecchnology. Mr. Casey also attended Lasalette Seminary.

Mr. Casey belonged to the K of C 4th Degree Alhambra Council and was a CCD teacher for the North American Martyr's. Mr. Casey was former president of the Worcester County Club of Printing House Craftsman and Lay Chairman of the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting. He also was a Cub Master and was Committee Chairman for Boyscouts. He was active in the Holy Name Alumni Association. He was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church.

The funeral will be held Tuesday Feb. 19 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. Burial will be at St. George's Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM, Monday Feb in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the UMASS Memorial Hospice.
