Richard Allen Palmer, 77, of Clarksville, died on Friday November 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born on December 16, 1933 in Starks, Wisconsin to the late Walter Palmer and Blanche Lyons Palmer.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 29, 2011 at 1 PM at Hickory Point United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday November 28, 2011 from 3-7 PM and Tuesday November 29, 2011 from 12 PM until the hour of service at the church.
He was a retired MSG with the U.S. Army after 28 years of service. He was also a member of Hickory Point United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Yvonne Palmer of Clarksville, TN, six children; Angel (John) Merckle of Columbus, OH, Richard (Saundra) Palmer, Jr., Robert (Deborah) Palmer, Honey (Anne) Palmer, Babe (Annette) David Driver, and Amy (Michael) Greenhill all of Clarksville, TN, two sister-in-laws; Joyce (John) Jeschke of Minoqua, WI and Sandra Hall of Clarksville, TN, special friends; Tina Reganwether and Elizabeth Simmons both of Clarksville, a brother-in-law; Bruce (Kathy) Hall of Michigan, two brothers; Clyde Palmer of North Carolina and Roger Palmer of Jacksonville, FL, ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The military will serve as pallbearers.
