Leicester: Jerod A. Smith, 27 of 11 Lehigh Road, died Monday March 8th in Leicester from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He leaves his wife of two years, Jennifer A. (Fontaine) Smith who is expecting there second daughter in June, a daughter Briahna K. Smith, his parents; Jeffrey D. & Sue Ellen (Canane) Smith of Leicester, his maternal grandfather, Francis D. Canane of Jonesboro, ME., his paternal grandmother, Nancy L. Smith of Leicester, two brothers; Jeremy T. Smith and Johnathan T. Smith both of Leicester, a nephew, Gage Smith of Leicester and he leaves aunts, uncles and many close friends.He was born in Worcester and has lived here all his life. He was a graduate of Bay Path High School and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Rochdale. Mr. Smith was a self-employed plumber and for the past two years had been working for Bernard Services in Auburn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing the Red Sox and ATV off roading. The funeral will be held Thursday, March 10th from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1154 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. and a calling hour from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
