Boylston - William R. Henderson, 81, passed away peacefully at the Ichabod Washburn Hospice Residence on Thursday, November 24, 2011. His wife of 39 years, Janet M. (Loftus) Henderson, died in 1992. He was born in Worcester, son of Ellen (Kender) and William T. Henderson. He was a graduate of North High School in Worcester. Bill was a mason and bricklayer. He co-owned and operated H & H Masonry for several years prior to becoming a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local 3. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worcester. Bill was a Boston Red Sox and N.E. Patriots fan. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by 1 son, William B. Henderson, of Boylston; 2 daughters, Lisa E. Day, of Sterling and Laurie A. Ropke of Maine; 8 grandchildren, William, David, Jason, Samantha, Michael, Christopher, Alex, and Stephanie; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jon Henderson (1978) and a brother, Richard T. Henderson.
Funeral services will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, on Tuesday, November 29. A calling hour will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
