Obituary

Mr. John E. Lynch, Jr., of Concord, N.H. and formerly of Taunton, died Tuesday, November 22 in the Harris Hill Center, Concord, following a period of failing health. He was born 75 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late John E. and Stella (Williams) Lynch, Sr. He was educated in Taunton and had been a resident of Augusta, Georgia for 20 years before relocating to Concord almost 4 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a union pipefitter for a number of years in Georgia. He previously worked in the state of Washington, where he was employed in the construction of the Alaska Pipeline. He was also employed for a time in New Hampshire, where he worked on the construction of the Seabrook Nuclear Plant. John was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Hen enjoyed gardening, traveling, political news, and playing golf. He was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton.
He leaves: 3 daughters: Meredith Senter of Concord, N.H., Kristen Levy of Warwick, R.I., and Pamela Castellano of W. Yarmouth; 1 son: Jack MacFarland of Tennessee; 1 sister: Ann Lewis of W. Yarmouth, and 3 nieces: JoEllen Dockham of W. Yarmouth, Margaret Brown of Marston Mills, and Jane Wilson of Georgia.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
