Worcester – Marie R. Marchand, 90, of Worcester, died on Tuesday, November 22nd in the Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Marie is survived by her son, Thomas A. Marchand and his wife Dianne of Worcester and a sister Alice Hayes of Orlando, FL. She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
Marie was born in Lowell, MA daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Cora (Gregoire) Marchand and worked for the City of Worcester Department of Public Works for 20 years as a Principle Clerk retiring in 1984.
She has lived in Worcester since 1948 and attended Quinsigamond Community College. Marie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, tatting and spending time with her family at gatherings. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff and volunteers of the Holy Trinity Hospice Program for the exceptional care and support that was given to Marie.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, November 26th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Saint Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
