
Helen A. Pinard, 90, of Manchester, died November 17, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital after a courageous battle with kidney failure.
She was born in Manchester on July 20, 1921, the daughter of John and Ellen (McSweeney) McGarrigle. She was educated in the local school system.
Helen was a feisty woman whose love of life,willingness to help others and sharp tongue will always be remembered by her family. She was the true matriarch of her family and enjoyed reading and solving crossword puzzles.
Her husband Lionel L. Pinard died in 1976.
Family members include her sons, John Pinard and companion Linda Gray of Pembroke, Michael Pinard and wife Diane of Hooksett; her daughter, Donna Pinard Hayes and husband Steven of Burlington, VT; 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Tanya, Nathan, Sarah, Jenessa, Sean, Brenna, Connor and McKenna; 2 great-grandchildren, Alexander and Magnus Watkins; one brother, Phil McGarrigle Sr. of Manchester; nephews, nieces, and dear friends.
Services were at the convenience of the family.
