Obituary

Shirley Mason of Natick, passed away on November 17, 2011, as she lived her life, surrounded by those who mattered most, her family. Shirley was born September 25, 1937 in Keene, NH. She was fortunate enough to spend the better part of her life with her devoted husband Louis Mason. Together they enjoyed traveling all around the country, antiquing, genealogy, volunteering at the Natick Senior Center, but mostly spending time with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

During her 5 year battle with breast cancer, Shirley showed all who knew her that warriors are not only strong, they are also kind, loving and beautiful. She was constantly on the lookout for other warriors and reached out to them, sharing her own battle hoping to let them know that they were not alone.

A part of Shirley will always live on in her children and their spouses, daughter Kim Polky and her husband Timothy of St. George, ME, daughter Kelly Sullivan-Morgado and her husband Walter Morgado of Rochester, MA, daughter Kathy Gubernat and her husband John of Pepperell, MA, son James Sullivan and his husband Frank Sapp of Fairhaven, MA and son Daniel Sullivan and his wife Nancy of Plymouth, MA. Step Children Susan and her husband Rod Swanson of Eagle, NE, Louis and his wife Gloria Mason of Lincoln, NE and David and his wife Kim of Coeur D’Alene, ID.

A life time of memories shared with grandchildren, Eben Polky, Emily Dotsie, Ryan Kelly, Daniel Hartley, John Gubernat, Patrick Gubernat, Kelsey Gubernat, Liam Sullivan and Rory Sullivan, Louis Mason III, Frank Zwonechek, Joshua Mason, Kyle Mason and Trevor Mason. The newest family members to bring a twinkle to her eye, great grandchildren Nolan Kelly and Madelyn Dotsie.
