AUBURN-Helen E. (Kennedy) Sargent, 95, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 16th in her home. Her husband of 48 years, William L. Sargent died in 2001. She leaves two daughters, Carole J. Deneault of Worcester and Elizabeth K. Sargent and her husband Roy of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Carole, William M., Florence, Helen, James, BethAnne, William L., Sarah, and Michael; nine great grandchildren, Raymond, Daniel, Danielle, Vincent, Bryan, Victoria, Griffen, Olivia, and Liam; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her siblings.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James J. and Margaret T. (Shea) Kennedy and graduated from South High School. Helen lived in Auburn for 56 years and was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. She lived a long, happy life and enjoyed going to the beach and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Helen’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Wilfrid Pitts and the Auburn VNA.
The funeral is Friday, October 18th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. A visiting hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 A.M. Friday in the funeral home.
