Charlotte F. (Robertson) Bell, 93, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2011 at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert H. Bell, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Bell were wed for 66 years at the time of his death on March 6, 2008.
Born in Walpole, MA on September 10, 1918, she was a daughter of the late James and Ella Mae Robertson.
Charlotte grew up in Foxboro, was educated in Foxboro public schools, and was a graduate of Foxboro High School.
Mrs. Bell was a retired assembler, having worked for 40 years at Texas Instruments in Attleboro prior to retiring.
A resident of Mansfield for over 60 years, Charlotte was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield.
She loved spending time in the presence of her adoring family. Her hobbies included attending yard sales, going to flea markets and knitting. For many Mrs. Bell hand knitted scarf’s and mittens which were donated to the youngsters at St. Mary’s Church during the Christmas Season.
She is survived by her loving sons Robert H. Bell, III and James W. Bell both of Mansfield. The devoted sister of Priscilla Sault of Taunton and the late Edward Robertson and James Robertson, she is also survived by her cherished grandsons James W. Bell, II of Worcester and Peter B. Bell of Attleboro, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday November 21st at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 20th from 3-6 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
