Obituary

Lucien J. Leclaire, 82, of Pond St. Woonsocket, died November 15, 2011 at The Holiday Retirement Home in Manville. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline G. (Thibault) Leclaire.
Born in Bellingham, he was a son of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Therien) Leclaire. He was a graduate of Bellingham High School and resided in Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Leclaire served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was employed by Valley Gas for over 25 years before retiring.
Lucien will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He cherished his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather and family activities were always paramount in his life.
He is survived by a daughter Nancy A. Beauregard, and her husband Peter J. Beauregard, of Woonsocket, a grandson Keith Goryl, and his wife Nicole, and his great-grandson Nathan Michael Goryl, all of Uxbridge. He was the brother of Pauline Tetreault of Mendon and the late Lionel, Normand, and Arthur Leclaire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
His funeral will be Friday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours are Thursday from 5-8 pm.
