DENNARD - Melanie Ann (Meredith) Dennard, 47, of Yulee, FL went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 13, 2011.
She was known by all who loved her as "Mel," or Aunt Mel. She was born on October 2, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1982. Mel was a member of Blackrock Baptist Church and enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher and working with the youth, and the Awana's program until the time of her illness. She loved teaching everyone about Jesus.
Mel was preceded in death by her father, Charles Rodney Meredith, whom she loved and missed . Mr. Meredith passed away in April, 2011.
Mel leaves behind a son, Justin M. Cothern (Tara) of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Ashley L. Cothern Jones (Rodney) of Johnson City, TN; her mother, Ruby L. Meredith of Yulee, FL; two sisters, Vanessa G. Darling (Jerry) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Jessica C. Meredith of Yulee, FL; a nephew, Marshall O. Darling of Fernandina Beach, FL; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, at Blackrock Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Camarotti officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
