Obituary

Rockland – Walter F. Shroupsky 85 died Sunday November 13 after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of the late Romana (Lorenz) Shroupsky.

Born in Boston and raised in Roxbury he was the son of the late Michael and Helen (Pauliszyn) Skorupski and a graduate of Charlestown High School.

Walter had been a proud veteran of US Army having served overseas during WWII from 1945-1947.

He had been a resident of Randolph for over 60 years and before his retirement had worked for over 20 years at the Postal Annex in South Boston.

He enjoyed the challenge of repairing just about anything and loved “tinkering around” his house and yard.

He is survived by his loving children Walter Shroupsky, Jr. of Brockton, Romana “Sue” Johnston of Pembroke, and Janet Miller of East Bridgewater as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his niece Mary Dadomo. He was the brother of the late Helen Evangelista and William and Mickey Shroupsky.

His funeral service will be held Friday November 18 at 7 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Rte.58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 5 – 7 PM.
