Linda Morgan, age 49, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born November 17, 1961 in Yalobusha County to Charles Hervey and the late Ruby Caldwell Hervey. Linda was a Nursing Assistant for the Hermitage Gardens Nursing Home in Oxford, MS. She was an active member of Oak Grove CME Church where she served as usher. Linda enjoyed working crossword puzzles, taking care of the elderly and doing volunteer work. She loved her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Spring Hill North Church in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tyson officiating. Burial will take place in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS with Ray Hudson, John Eddie Jones, Keith White, Chris Pascul, Terrell Daniels and Meko Marshall serving as pallbearers.
Linda is survived by her only son, Kenzie Hervey of Water Valley, MS; two sisters, Ruby Barr of Water Valley, MS and Theresa Hervey of Peoria, IL; seven brothers, Charles Hervey, Willie Hervey, David Hervey and Chris Hervey (Nicole) all of Water Valley, MS; her father, Charles Hervey of Kenner, LA; her significant other, Jerry Pritchard, Jr. of Water Valley, MS and 4 grandchildren, Kenterious Harris, Lakenbria Hervey, Antonio Blackburn and Alyssa Myers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Caldwell Hervey; her husband, O’Dell Morgan; and one sister, Alice Rochelle Hervey.
