Obituary


Manchester: Ferdinand “ Fern” C. Brunelle, 85 died November 13, 2011 at the Elliot Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on May 13, 1926 the son of Ernest and Aldea (Desrosiers) Brunelle and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
He attended local schools and served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant during WWII.
He had been an auto mechanic and had worked for Redimix for many years. He then owned and operated Bridge St. Gulf and Fern’s Auto on Lake Ave.
He enjoyed visiting with friends at Dunkin Donuts on Granite St.
Members of his family include his wife of 38 years, Annette (Bourque) Brunelle of Manchester, two sons, Rev. Denis Brunelle of Long Island, NY., Dennis Brunelle of Manchester; six daughters, Janice Hock and her husband David of Manchester, Karen Dalton and her husband Steve of Palm Bay, FL., Lynne Brooks of Manchester, Lisa Cote and her husband Brian of Manchester, Susan Robertson and her husband Todd of Greenland and Michelle Stoney of Bedford; one step son Daniel Bureau of Manchester; fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, three sisters, Blanche Letendre of Cape Coral, FL., Pauline Cote, Lucy Christian both of Manchester and several nieces, nephews. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 AM in Grace Episcopal Church, Lowell St.. Burial will be Thursday at 1:30 PM in New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
