Annie Louise (MacAdams) MacNeil, a resident of Medford for more than 65 years and beloved wife of the late John MacNeil and Reginald Foster, died at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Sunday, November 13, 2011. She was 93 years old.
Born in Canada, Annie was the beloved daughter of the late Howard and Nellie B. (MacDonald) MacAdams.
Mrs. MacNeil was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Medford and always enjoyed cross stitching and cross word puzzles. She was an avid reader and loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She also loved playing cards with her friends following the Red Sox.
She will be very sorely missed by her loving daughters; Evelyn C. MacNeil of Melrose and Darlene H. Horgan of Medford, brother and sister-n-law; Gerald and his wife Helen MacAdams of Medford, grandchildren; Lisa and her husband Jeff, Melissa, Christine and her husband Keith, John and Michele, great-grandchildren; Amanda, Joey, Justin, Jeremey, Kimmie, John, Madison, Aidan and Bret, stepchildren; Regina and Steven Foster, both of Everett and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was celebrated in the First Baptist Church, 37 Oakland Street, Medford, Friday, November 18, 2011, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Thursday, November 17, 2011, from 3 to 7 PM. Interment was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody.
