Craig F. Butler, 66 of Taunton died November 11, 2011 peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by family and friends.
He was the husband of the late Janet R. (Carney) Butler, the love of his life, who died on January 13, 2011.
Born in Taunton, the son of Alice (Barradas) Butler of Taunton and the late Carlton Butler, he lived in Taunton most of his life.
Mr. Butler was employed by Raytheon for many years until his illness.
He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Butler served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his mother; 2 children, Melissa Butler of Taunton and Craig Timothy Butler and his wife Ekaterini of Assonet; a brother, Michael Butler and his wife Lorna of Lakeville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Catherine Carney Ricketson of New Bedford; 2 sisters-in-law, Catherine Carney Webber of Salem, OR and Maureen Scully Perry and her husband Bob of Taunton; 4 grandchildren, Tara, Craig, Theodore and Freddie; his wife's dear friends, Kathy Duffy Fargo and Janice Barnard; 4 nephews and several aunts and uncles.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 19th at 11 AM in in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St. New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Southcoast Homecare and Hospice, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
