B. Eugene DeFreitas, 87, of Meredith, NH, died peacefully October 26, 2011 at The Arbors of Bedford.
He was the husband of the late Marie J. (Dixon) DeFreitas.
Born in Boston, MA and lived in Meredith, NH and wintered in Boca Raton, FL.
Mr. DeFreitas was the former proprietor of Melrose Bowl-A-Dome and the co-owner of BCA in Saugus for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Russo and her husband Stanley of Marion; 3 sons, Walter DeFreitas and his wife Linda of Seffner, FL, Kenneth DeFreitas and his wife Celida of Manchester, MA and Phillip DeFreitas and his wife Caroline of Groton, MA; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Gregory Russo.
His Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 20th at 10 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marion.
