Margaret M. Grenga, 90, of Fairview Drive, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home. She was the widow of John Grenga, DDS.
Born in Tamaqua, PA she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Boyle) Mulhearn. She lived in Greenville for 50 years.
She received her B.A. from the College of New Rochelle. She worked for the National Security Agency for ten years as a research analyst. She received her M.Ed.from RI College. Her teaching career spanned over 40 years, most at St. Philip School in Greenville where she had also served as principal. She was active in parish activities including CCD teacher, lector, Eucharistic minister and the Women’s Altar Guild.
She is survived by her children: John J. Grenga, Eileen M. and James J. Grenga and his wife, Denise all of Greenville and three grandchildren: Andrea, Michael and Jacqueline. She was the sister of the late Daniel Mulhearn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30am in St. Phillip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville, RI 02828. Burial in RI Veterans Cemetery. Visitation Sunday evening 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Philip School or St. Philip Church.
